With the aim to enable women professionals and entrepreneurs thrive in their careers and professional endeavors, Connected Women Pakistan keeps coming up with one exciting venture after another. This time around, it has launched its Connected Women Entrepreneur Challenge (CWPEC) on 6th July, 2020, an exciting challenge created primarily for women owned businesses in the country.

The Pakistan Chapter of the organization is led and managed by Tehmina A. Chaudhary and Zeea Hassan Talib, and is on a mission to raise the economic intelligence of the country through empowering Pakistani women. It aims to boost the growth of women professionals through capacity building, skill development and training in business, entrepreneurship and professional growth.

The CWPEC is the latest project of the organization created with the sole purpose to facilitate women entrepreneurs in the different phases involved in setting up, running and growing a business. This one-of-a kind challenge was launched on 6th July, 2020 with an aim to conduct it on an annual basis. This challenge is open to all women entrepreneurs in Pakistan and focuses on the development of a compelling business model that will help the participants better understand their business as well as scaling it up.

The Entrepreneurship Challenge is split into three phases: a business model submission round, a pitch round and the final in-person presentation during the CWPEC final event. The top 15 teams will be chosen based on the judging results from the business model submission, and only the top 15 Women Entrepreneurs will advance to the second and third rounds of the CWPEC.

Participants of the competition have a chance to win amazing in-kind and cash prizes with the grand prize of PKR 50,000 cash for the final winner. This competition is made possible by generous support from our core team, sponsors, mentors, judges, and members from our community across Pakistan.

The CWPEC Event will include two workshops, two rounds of pitching to judges, a tabling showcase and an awards presentation. The judges will determine the winners of the many prizes, including the 50,000 Grand Prize.

The winners will be announced on 14th, August, 2020. CWP is excited about the venture and is positive that it will help many women owned businesses achieve the clarity and stability they require to boost their success.
