Committed to uplifting communities and providing livelihood opportunities, Aboitiz InfraCapital partnered with Connected Women, an innovative social enterprise advocating for upskilling women in technology, to empower 100 Filipino women through a specialized training program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) data annotation. This partnership was solidified in a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on August 14, 2023 at the AIC office in BGC, Taguig.

 

Connected Women, The Aboitiz Foundation, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday, July 18, to support Connected Women's program to upskill zero to low income women in artificial intelligence and data annotation. This program aims to train women in skills needed in the global artificial intelligence industry, which is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years. The signatories of the MOU were DILG Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, Jr., Aboitiz Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sabin M. Aboitiz, Aboitiz Foundation President and COO Maribeth L. Marasigan, and Connected Women Co-Founder Ruth Yu-Owen.
