4 Key Pieces Of Advice For Carrying Off Certain Jewellery

Careers Are Not Straight Lines, So What Do You Do? | Connected Women

I recently overhead this comment from a business leader: “One great thing about staying in Asia is that there are so many occasions for the great RESET, there is New Year, Chinese New Year – then you can observe Thai New Year….”. So this Chinese New Year, why not take the chance for the great reset (not that you need permission!).

A 24-Hour Woman wears many hats and yet has the ability to manage her life so that her business and life propel her towards her legacy.

Work-life balance? As a mother of 3 boys who enjoyed a very fulfilling career in healthcare while pursuing my post graduate studies, I’ve had my fair share of crazy schedules and trying to meet the demands of each role. Then, through a series of fairly pricey training sessions, mentorship and sometimes painful life lessons, I found a rhythm and flow to work-life integration – and managing the seasons of life.

I gave up a stable corporate career to pursue my passion – to inspire and empower women to thrive in work/business and live vibrant lives. Yes, there are ups and downs in that journey, and drawing on lessons learned from working with women professionals and entrepreneurs from around the world, this blog deals with some of the common work-life myths.

Don’t let work-life issues hold you back! Here are 3 work life balance myths you must dispel if you want to make a difference in your life, your family and your community.

Let’s start the Chinese New Year by busting some myths – so that you can start consciously designing your life to be happier, more fulfilled and satisfied. Watch the video, or read on.

Myth #1 – The 24-Hour Woman has all the resources she needs whatsoever for getting things done.

The truth of the matter is the 24 hour woman who lives a vibrant life is just like you and I. We all have the same twenty-four hours a day, but the difference is the resources we have available. The 24 hour woman knows that she needs to build, cultivate and nurture her support bases – at work, at home and at play.

Myth #2 – The 24-Hour Woman wants to have it all.

My bigger question to you is do you really want to have it all? What does that mean to you? The 24 hour woman’s wisdom tells her that managing it all does not necessarily mean having it all, and having it all means being satisfied, fulfilled and creating a legacy she can be proud of. So ask yourself that deep question. What does it all mean?

Myth #3 - The 24-Hour Woman emulates success the way she sees it.

Are you being defined by what you see and what you hear on the media, whether television, movies, or the press? Are you defined by who you are and who you are authentically? What is your definition of success?

I would love to hear from you in the comments section. What your beliefs about work-life balance and success?
