Woolf Works Wednesday – May 13

Woolf Works Wednesdays are always a great way to meet the women (and men are also welcome!) of our wider community – we are a diverse and creative bunch! We are also friendly so please feel free to come along on your own or with a group of friends.

We will, as always, have fabulous eats and drinks — a glass of New Zealand wine on arrival from Underground Wines and healthy finger food from Be_!

This month, we will be focusing on the Entrepreneur Journeys of two ambitious, Singapore-based women:

Waki Yonoeka founded Memom in 2013. Memom is an early stage startup which provides an innovative photo solution for families. She is passionate about simplifying the life of young parents with technology with user-friendly products.

Memom’s app is a hassle-free photo-journaling tool to record the story of your each child’s growth. It will also help you send periodic updates to your family with beautiful collage cards. The app launched shortly, using technology Waki and her team have been working on fervently for a couple of years. Her professional background is in the financial services sector, having worked with KPMG, Financial Advisory Services in Tokyo. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and U.S. CPA.

Majella Skansebakken founded Ni’Night in 2008, when she saw a gap in the market for good quality children’s furniture in Singapore. In 2010, she renovated a little shophouse on Joo Chiat Place which became the beautiful children’s store we know and love.

Majella is also extremely active in helping various charities in Cambodia through donation drives, funding help and business support. This is one very busy lady who gives a lot of herself to help others.
