Do you love photography? Asia’s leading photography competition series Photo Face-Off would be the perfect show for you to catch, and they’re airing their premiere of season 2 tonight! Proudly presented by Canon PhotoMarathon and in association with SilkAir, catch the show on HISTORY® (StarHub TV Channel 401). The highly successful first season was rated number one in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Hosted by the lovely Sarah Lian, Photo Face-Off Season 2, presented by Canon PhotoMarathon, follows 16 amateur snappers from six different countries competing in a series of photography challenges across three categories, that of Speed, Theme and Extreme. The challenges are designed to push each photographer’s skill, knowledge and creativity to the limit. Season two boasts new segments of elimination rounds and unique photography tips from some of Asia’s leading photo professionals.

Fashion Show Photo Challenge

Executive Lifestyle Experts Martha Chaudhry and Helga Herrera were chosen to attend yesterday’s fun, colourful, press event where a Fashion Show Photo Challenge took place. Professional photographer Justin Mott took part in the competition with the three Singaporean representatives Shaun Tan Chun Wen, Cheng Kok Hou and Mohamad Yusof Bin Noor — all pitting themselves against each other to see who could best capture the runway looks by local brands Actually and SuperSpace. ​In an unnamed line-up of four final photos, Justin’s perfectly captured shot was chosen by the media as the winning entry.

Executive Lifestye’s Photography Experts

It was an entertaining evening for our Executive Lifestyle experts, the highlight of which was a conversation and exchanging a photography joke or two with Justin Mott himself.

Helga and Martha were thrilled to meet Justin, and feel a part of the experience.  It was also a breath of fresh air to see the ladies on the other side of the camera for a change.

Watching Photo Face-Off is not just watching another reality TV show, it requires so much more than cunning, or strength. It requires a knowledge of the art, a love and passion to seek after the perfect presentation, and a good eye, with fast reaction time.

It was a night of competition and art – both in fashion design and photography – one which our experts were inspired by. We look forward to following the competition series through to the end, and of course, we’re rooting for the Singapore “photo warriors” Shaun Tan Chun Weng, Cheng Kok Hou and Mohd Yusof bin Noor!
