What do you think is the most significant contribution Filipino Women make to the country?

We cannot single out a category or function for the contribution of Filipino women, in the same way that we cannot box Filipino women on what we could or could not do. The question, however, nudges the idea that we Filipino women could commit to — that we will not propagate the limitations and prejudices imposed on us.

We will not be the cause for another Filipino woman, or any other human being for that matter, to experience being removed from making choices, making mistakes and being accountable for them, or growing and learning as any free human being should.

What’s your best advice for Filipino women to achieve success?

I’d say to define success in our own terms and commit to it. And strive to be Filipino women who would empower the next generation of Filipino women to define their own successes as well.
