Nathalie Ricaud

Professional organiser Nathalie Ricaud helps women who feel overwhelmed by all their "stuff" learn to let go of things that are just stressing them out, and feel in control of their home and life again. She helps them establish systems to make sure they can find what they want when they need it, and maintain a clutter-free, organised and peaceful home. In addition to hands-on organising work, Nathalie is the author of a blog and is regularly published in print and online media. She’s also a regular speaker at events and conferences. As a professional organiser, I go into many homes to help individuals and families get organised. 80% of them face clutter issues. The amount of clutter varies substantially from one home to the other, but at the end of the day, they all own many things that don’t serve any purpose in their lives and that don’t even make them feel good or happy.

Who would have thought that behind the closed doors of Singapore’s residences, clutter would be an issue? But everyone loves something, and sometimes we love things too much. Then there are those of us who are the exact opposite; we don't love our spaces enough to keep them organised until we’re buried in overwhelm and are too shy to ask for help.

Is the clutter around you taking a toll on your sanity? Is the thought of tackling the clutter even more overwhelming? Don’t fret and follow my step-by-step guide to help you regain control of your space … and sanity! I use this approach with my clients to help them organise their home or office, and I have full confidence that it can work for you, too.

I was actually once told by a business partner that my paper planner was damaging my professional image! Well maybe if looking professional means being equipped with the latest electronic gadget.

Having a fulfilling job, raising a responsible child, having a loving relationship with my husband, maximising my health, having a warm home where my family can relax together and my friends feel welcome, etc.  Your goals are probably different than mine, but one thing I am pretty sure we all have in common is that we want it all.

No matter how well we plan our days, we all face those days when there is more on our to-do list than what we can manage or an unexpected event throws us off – whether it’s a boss or client having an urgent request, or a child being down with high fever who needs to be taken to the doctor.  So how can we handle those days without the stress building up and instead experience a sense of accomplishment?
