What do you think is the most significant contribution Filipino Women make to the country?

Filipino women are exquisitely unique, creative and highly intuitive in nature and I am excited to see how we are now changing the game in the corporate or start up arena. Having said this, I think that we can raise more awareness that women can be great leaders too and we need more empowering women to step up, to be given the chance to lead, to be heard and to use their voice to affect change in any way, shape or form.

What’s your best advice for Filipino women to achieve success?

The first thing you should ask yourself is, “What is success to me?” A few years back, I thought success was what truly defined me. I had to rethink it and then I realized that success is not meant to be a destination because it is actually the journey that leads to success.

Who you are becoming and the people you have helped along the way is more important than what you have achieved or the rewards that you will eventually reap. We need to learn how to let go of personal ego, thus, it’s time to redefine what success looks like to Filipino women who value purpose, meaning and life’s fulfilment.

The impact is more sustainable that way and not just for one’s success but also for others.

ABOUT ME: Tech-smart, business-savvy, down-to-earth. Connector of people & ideas.

I often introduce myself as someone who has failed in business several times since the age of 16, not because I am proud of my mistakes but because I value failure as a catalyst for success. I have since dedicated my life to helping others succeed.

Community, entrepreneurship and technology are at the heart of everything I do. I run a number of businesses and initiatives with a focus on providing a platform for women to harness technology for success.

I was invited by LinkedIn to be part of their LinkedIn Speaker Series and be among the 106 inspiring and innovative thinkers from around the globe. Read about it here.
