Academy Director: A Day In The Life Of A Woman | Connected Women

This woman has accomplished Herculean feats over the course of her career, as a successful business coach, author, and speaker. Her motivations as an academy director are simple: to help others perform at their best and see them happy.

Titled “A Day In The Life Of A Woman,” this series celebrates the women in our lives. From the everyday to inspirational, the series aims to highlight women from various fields and share a bit of the diversity we experience every day.

Jill Douka has coached thousands of individuals in various countries. Of Greek Canadian descent, she has coached across Europe, the USA, and Asia, and has also helped in the management of multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Here is a look at a day in the life of Jill:

6 AM: Wake up at 5:45. At 6:15, I go for my running and training.

7 AM: Take a shower, hug and play with my husband Nikolas and my daughter Joy, and we have breakfast. We get ready to leave home.

8 – 10 AM: We drop Joy off to kindergarten.

I write content, my new book, or prepare for training life as a coach.

As a coach I help enhance my clients’ leadership abilities and guide them towards unlocking their strengths and untapped energies.

10 AM: Shoot videos or write an interview.

11 AM: Contact students, clients or perspective coaches.

At the end of the day, clients achieve greater clarity on their respective goals. I love it when the people around me are healthy and happy. My ideal world is full of people who thrive in life and in balance.

12 NN: We pick up Joy from kindergarten and catch up on one another’s day.

1 PM: We have lunch together.

2 PM: Have a coaching session.

4 PM: I do any follow up on administrational tasks with my team.

5 PM: We go to the park with Joy and have fun.

6 PM: We go shopping or at the beach for a walk.

7 PM: We have dinner together.

8 PM: We bathe Joy and put her to sleep.

9 PM:  We relax in the living room with my husband and plan the next day.

10 PM: I listen to my meditations and affirmations and fall asleep.

Helping People Become Their Best Through Coaching

“I empower people globally to feel secure, take action and get the greatest value from their future,” shared Jill. “Lofty targets, I know. But every single day I’m able to achieve these goals through my coaching, speaking engagements, workshops, books, articles and online training.”
