4 Ways ‘People Power’ Can Help You Succeed In Business & Life

If I were to trace my own success in the last few years, it has had LESS to do with how awesome I am … and more to do with how AWESOME the people I surround myself with are! In short, my success is linked largely to people who believe and support me. Here’s how all this relates to you.

At my recent goal-setting workshop, I helped an entire room full of passionate people uncover their goals for 2016. Very quickly though, every single person realized that they couldn’t achieve all of these goals on their own. It was far easier, far quicker and way more fun with other like-minded people. But how do you connect, engage and enroll people into your vision? How do you get them excited to want to be a part of your mission?

That’s where “people power” comes in. I really want you to get this concept of people power. Everything begins with a goal. You need to have a goal before you can start getting to work. That’s why we started the year with goal-setting and life design! But after you know WHY and WHAT to do … you need to grasp the HOW.

Listen to this: The answer to almost any goal you have for yourself is to have dedicated, capable, and trustworthy people supporting you. I’m super-serious about this. If you want to lose weight, having a support team AND a fitness coach will do the trick. If you want to start a business, having an accountability team and a business coach will make things faster. If you want to grow your enterprise, having a team of people working on different things will help you expand faster than you can imagine.

People Can Help You In Infinite Ways - If You Know How

I divide people power into four key pillars: Networking, Connection, Team, and Partnerships

(and I'll talk about them indepth in the coming weeks). If you master all four, you will have mastered the art and science of people power. Let me give you a quick run-through of all four.

  1. Networking
Networking - if done right - can be incredibly powerful. Meeting the right people and making the right first impression can be amazing for your business.
  1. Connection
You can't engage or enroll people until you make a personal connection with them. Without them feeling you and trusting you, you are just another passing face. Connection is key!
  1. Team
If you're doing everything by yourself, you will quickly realize you are limited by your two most valuable resources: time and energy. This is why you need a team. I'll show you how to build a team of capable and dedicated people!
  1. Partnerships
Partnerships are about collaboration and finding people who believe in win-win. If you partner up with someone else who shares the same context as you, both of you working together can add value in more ways than working individually.

Join all four together and you can meet the right people, enroll them into your vision, collaborate with them and connect with anyone you interact with.
