Healthy Family Snacks: Delicious Mango Salsa With Crudités

For a healthy afternoon snack, we recommend mango salsa with crudités, with kid-friendly chopping.


Ready in: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 mango, peeled and diced
  • ½ red pepper, sliced and diced
  • ¼ cucumber, sliced and diced
  • ¼ purple onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crudités: carrots, yellow peppers, snap peas, cherry tomatoes




Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  1. Serve with whole-wheat baguette and crudités (carrots, yellow peppers, snap peas, cherry tomatoes).

Easy Tasks For Younger Children

  • Dice pre-cut mango – it’s soft and easy
  • Cut halved cucumber
  • Press lime juice
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper


Moderate Tasks For Older Children

  • Slice onion
